Developmental Program (DEVO)
Our Girls Developmental Program is designed for young gymnasts who have shown the potential, enthusiasm, and coachability to begin preparing for competitive gymnastics. Each group helps athletes develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the sport in a positive and encouraging environment. Placement in these groups is by invitation and evaluation.
CLASS LEVELS
PETITE ELITE
Petite Elite is the exciting first step in North Valley Gymnastics’ Girls Developmental Program! Designed for gymnasts ages 3–4, this invitation-only group introduces young athletes to the foundations of competitive gymnastics in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment.

Gymnasts begin developing strength, flexibility, body awareness, and basic skills while learning how to listen, take turns, and work confidently with their coaches. Most importantly, we want each child to feel successful and excited to come to the gym!

Petite Elite practices once a week for 1¼ hours. Athletes are encouraged to attend more than one class each week when possible, but it is not required.
MINI ELITE
Mini Elite is the next exciting step in our Girls Developmental Program! Designed for gymnasts ages 4–5, this invitation-only group continues building the strength, flexibility, confidence, and foundational skills needed for future success in competitive gymnastics.

Athletes are introduced to more advanced skill progressions while continuing to focus on strong technique and positive training habits. Mini Elite gives young gymnasts the opportunity to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and continue growing their love for the sport.

Mini Elite practices twice a week for 2 each practice.
JUNIOR ELITE
Junior Elite brings our athletes one step closer to joining the North Valley Gymnastics competitive team! Designed for gymnasts ages 5–6, this invitation-only group focuses on developing the strength, flexibility, technique, and confidence needed to prepare for competitive gymnastics.

Athletes continue working through carefully planned skill progressions while learning the focus, determination, and teamwork that come with being part of a team environment. This is an exciting stage in their gymnastics journey, as their hard work begins to come together and they move closer to becoming competitive gymnasts!

Junior Elite practices twice a week for 2½ hours each practice.
LIL' FIRECRACKERS
Lil’ Firecrackers is a special, invitation-only opportunity offered to a select group of young gymnasts who have caught the attention of our coaching staff. Invitations are extended to children who demonstrate natural ability, enthusiasm, coachability, and the potential to thrive in a more focused gymnastics environment.

Being invited to Lil’ Firecrackers gives young athletes the opportunity to receive more specialized instruction while developing their strength, flexibility, coordination, confidence, and foundational gymnastics skills. In this positive and encouraging group, each gymnast is challenged at an age-appropriate pace while being given the opportunity to discover just how much she is capable of.
